Welcome to the Independent Mindset - Skills for Empowerment and Transition (ImSET) tool. ImSET is a formative, two-way communication tool designed to help you assess and develop social-emotional skills (also called 'soft' skills) of individuals with disabilities who seek to improve their employment or independent living opportunities. It provides a quantitative and qualitative way of assessing social-emotional skills, including attitude, self-confidence, time management, stress management, cultural awareness, communication, healthy choices, etc. based on team assessments of the individual and their own self-assessment. In addition, ImSET provides case management features to encourage team to share observations on participants so that the feedback provided is consistent, as well as respectful, honest, and timely.

All ImSET data is held securely on servers located in Canada and is not accessible to any organization other than the owner of the data.
